Trials, Triumphs & Tragedy of EagleCam: The Quest for a Novel Third-Person View of a Lunar Landing
with Christopher Hays, Ph.D.

Ahead of the Artemis crewed missions returning to the moon, Initiative Machines (under the NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services contract) landed the Nova-C Class lander on the lunar surface on February 22, 2024. As part of this mission, EagleCam was intended to provide the first-ever third-person view of a lunar landing.

Join Dr. Christopher Hays, an incoming Research Aerospace Engineer with Air Force Research Laboratory - Space Vehicles Directorate and lead engineer on EagleCam as he presents the thrilling story of a group of college students who were challenged to go where no university has gone before.

Admission is $10 per person, and you must be 21 years old to attend.
